Unique to the WOMAD festival is its true international feel. As well as the massive diversity of the music and food, they take place all over the world, and to date there has been over 150 WOMAD Festivals in 27 different countries in its 26 year history. In addition to the two in Australasia and Charlton Park in the UK, 2008 will see festivals in Caceres (Spain) from 8th-11th May, and Las Palmas De Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) from 6th-9th November with more to be confirmed. Over the years WOMAD's ever growing legion of fans have not only returned to the festival in their own country, but have traveled the world with WOMAD, to many, WOMAD is more than a festival, it's a way a life!
