DJ Dubious Biography

20 years of musical adventurism has given DJ Dubious a unique take on world music/global beats. His record collection and DJ sets take in sounds from all five continents representing modern roots traditions, fusion, glocalisation and even out-right bastardisation. The last few years has seen (heard?) him leaning heavily in a latin direction, playing lots of mestizo, mixed with South American drum'n'bass, and what can probably be best described as 'Salsa-muffin and Latin Ska-hop'. The breadth of music in his sets also follows the paths that Romano/Gypsy music took from India through the Middle East and diverging north and south to encircle the Mediterranean providing the popular 'Balkan Sound' in one direction and Flamenco in the other. After a number of years as a well kept secret in the Backstage Bar, DJ Dubious is back for his second year up front in the All singing All dancing tent.
