Our final artist announcement is coming at the end of this week with full times, stages and dates, completing the website lineup!

Well we did say it was a close finish. In fact it was only milli points between the two. So, we took this into account along with your feedback on what we realise now were confusing T & C's and have offered The Communicators a slot at the festival as well as The Bear Beats Band. We are happy to announce that they have both accepted.

The Communicators will be playing in the Big Red Tent on Friday July 29th and The Bear Beats Band will be playing on Saturday 30th July on the Charlie Gillet stage. We feel very excited to have two rising talents, chosen by you WOMADians, on our stages this year!

Rest assured we have learnt from our mistakes and apologise for any upset caused. At least now we have two excellent bands performing instead of one.

It was close. In fact it was so close that we thought there might be two bands playing at the same time! However, eventually there was just one winner.

We would like to say congratulations to The Bear Beats Band, the WOMADian's choice

The Bear Beats Band will be performing on The Charlie Gillet Stage on Saturday 30th July 2011.

WOMAD would like to say thank you to everyone who took part, from the musicians to the voters, everyone playing as important a part as the other. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching the polls, listening to the incredible talent that is obviously out there and seeing your choices push and pull the bands to the positions they finished in.

The voting has now closed. WOMAD will announce the official winner tomorrow! Keep your eyes open for the band to play at WOMAD Charlton Park 2011!
