Your leftover non-perishable food could stop a UK family going hungry. The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network will be collecting any unopened non-perishable food extras at WOMAD and using them in Foodboxes to feed the 'hidden hungry' around the UK. There is over 13 million people living below the poverty line in the UK and in a crisis, the gift of food can make a real difference.

Look out for volunteers collecting in the campsites on Monday or bring donations to the recycling centre, next to San Fran's Disco Bar.

Sadly, we have to announce that Bajah & the Dry Eye Crew will not be able to make it to WOMAD Charlton Park 2011 due to rejected visa applications. Although, they have been invited to apply again, time is not on their side.

And so, let us introduce Congolese, Belgian wordsmith Baloji who will be performing for you on Friday 29th July, 3-4pm Big Red Tent instead.
