  Another great womad as always. No-one's mentioned the showers ... Can we have the mass, communal ones back? You can get a far greater number of people through them far faster than with the cubicles. Also you don't need to wait while people get dried and carry out whatever other beauty procedures they feel necessary! You could have some cubicles for those who really don't like the communal ones but most people are happy to use them and they are so much quicker.

  Personally I think a mix of two is best...communal showers serve a lot of people but those who are modest, enjoy privacy or have religious/cultural reasons they need to bathe in private should be considered too. I now several people who crave privacy for these reasons and have unhappily spent some WOMADs in tents with bowls of water. I love the communal ones due to space and speed and always have hot water. Lets just consider everyone though.

  I always happily wash in my tent with a bowl of water - an all-over wash in cold water is surprisingly refreshing!!
  I just can't be arsed to traipse over to the showers in my PJs, shower etc and then realise I've forgotten my clothes...

  Biggest concern at a generally great event remains campsite noise. Not neighbours - but from Mollys bar which has crept up on the family camping and the lunched-out lizards who remain bafflingly close to family camping especially now its been squeezed by the glampers

  Why have curfews on stages and lots of restrictions as to what campers can do only to blast the only bit of family camping near a toilet till 2 or later every morning. Move Mollys Bar, or bring back Club Womad in the Big red tent and control late night noise in or near family camping

  I didn't see any problems with noisy campers but it was not made clear to people where they were camping and I have some sympathy to those who end up in family camping by mistake - better signs would help

  My other gripe would be the deckchair, blanket, knitting and Daily Mail brigade who show little interest in music but seem to regard WOMAD as a picnic. I don't remember that at Reading. I realise some people need support for disability reasons but that doesn't explain why there are rows of chairs and blankets largely unoccupied or why the average child needs and armchair complete with beer holder. These should be banned in the tents and restricted from the front of the other stages on the grounds of health and safety alone!

  I did wonder whether the contingent of acts based in developed countries was bigger this year. Is that cost? visa hassle? playing safe? interesting if WOMAD will tell us. Musically lots of great European acts like Deolindy so I'm not complaining - just curious

  My constructive feedback for this year:
  + pristine toilets. Well done to all the teams concerned and thank you.
  + Molly's Bar - my first ever visit but loved it especially the swing session. As WOMAD should feature dance, how about a covered dance floor giving lessons for beginners in all styles of dance?
  + Loved Manic Organic, The Chai Cafe and the Little Tea Tent but all the food was delicious
  + liked the new Radio 3 position but still too small
  +Loved the World of Food tent - can it be bigger next year?
  - The website timings were different from those in the printed programme
  - There weren't so many unusual acts this year eg the throat singers of 2011
  - The red tent is far too bassy
  - No refund on beer glasses. How about a Latitude style beakerthe cost of which is either a souvenir or a deposit
  - Not enough showers - Don't see the need for a laundry - it's only four days!! Convert them to showers

  Showers: bring back the communal ones. Not much of a queue there.
  La di da, no thanks: wash basins on campsite please, UN refugee camps have more.
  Noise: we camped near Moll's and slept like logs from midnight on.
  Food: brilliant, esp banana fritter man , he was lovely, Malmsbury curries were good as usual and only a fiver.
  Programme: I have them going back years as a reminder of the fantastic music we've seen, but next year itll be a clashfinder printout.
  Booze: nice but £4!! also bring back 10p deposits.
  People: lovely
  Arbouretum jamming tent: cool, especially tambourine (riq) player. oh it was me!
  See you all in 2013

  Lol @ refugee camps have more noise!!
  Programme . . . . £7.50???? Are you fricking kidding me!!! AND even more annoyed that I met someone on Sunday who said they paid a fiver for there's and knew someone else who'd got one for £3!!!!

  Ref: Programme prices- Womad App = free.
  Lists all acts with write-up, everything categorised into stages, days, artists and a planner. I never pre-plan who I'll see, just take it each day at a time and tick them off, the App sends you an alert 15 mins before your next marked act, so you have time to go and see them.
