Urgh whatevs...
Don't feed the trolls, then they go away
Hope everything goes well for you becky26.

NibNob .. I think you're mistaking defensiveness for supportiveness .

I have found that most of the posts directed at me are of the trolling variety, actually.
I have a right to express my opinion as that was what was asked by the original poster. Sorry if it doesnt fall in line with the short sighted "im sure everything will be fine" type statements ... but in my opinion my children are more important that a ticket to a festival.
And the comment on how "natural" things are to go to a festival.... been watching the BBC series on prehistoric man and have yet to see a depiction of 5000 cavemen and women sitting in close proximity for a festival. Natural?... you lot, really??

Why did you come here NibNob? You have made 4 offensive posts, in this thread only. Do you have any interest in World Music or this festival?

Sorry for double post - I was not seeing it and was being directed to another page when I pressed save. :~

Ok . . . one last time I shall respond.
I did not ask in the original post for offensive opinions to be expressed Nib Nob. What I actually asked is if anyone has ever had similar experiences they could share or had any advice.
My children are more important to me than anything else in the world and as expressed OVERLY, if there are any concerns, we won't be going.
And F.Y.I regarding overtired children at 11pm. My daughter is always tucked up in bed by her usual bedtime of 7pm at Womad and either myself, my partner, or my mum stays with her. Last year and the year before she even had her daytime naps at the same time she would do at home. This year as I will still be wanting to get the baby used to a bed time routine it will be me back at the tent every night by 7 with both girls.
And I don't see how anyone could not get defensive when you are attacking their parenting which is the thing that most people hold most dear.
You are entitled to your opinion, but there was absolutely no need for you to express it here and if you were going to, then I think you could certainly have found a more diplomatic way of putting it, rather than outragously insulting perfect strangers.
Thank you again to everyone else for your comments and support and I think SHP is right. If Nib Nob chooses to post again I suggest we all ignore her.

Becky! Second babies are so much leaa tiring than first ones, you are an experienced mum and will handle everything well, I'm sure. you asked for advice, so as long as you have a helpful partner who can push you around in a wheelbarrow if you get tired, I don't hink you have anything to worry about. As you know, very young babies sleep most of the time and they love fresh air, so this will will be good.
My only other advice is to take it easy and don't tire yourself out, you want to have plenty of milk (your own).
Good weather would be useful too.

Thanx Bloohair! Faspjen . . . just wondered . . . can you remember where the NCT tent was? Can't see it on the site map. x

Let us know when baby arrives, would love to see her, I'll look out for you. Sounds like you've got everything sorted anyway - mother, partner, back to tent at 7pm. I took my two boys to Womad when they were small (6 & 4), took them back to the tent at 8pm and they slept like little logs!
