Great Tit Watch:
Heart fell – just one egg visible in the still and empty nest. What has happened? Stared at nest in disbelief. Then, movement – four open beaks, the arrival of Titty or Titan with a beakfull of food, carefully feeding the chicks and flying straight out again. Can now see the shadow of more eggs under the chicks which will hopefully hatch very soon. Another feeding visit and a nest tidy – Titty still trammelling over the eggs and her new chicks, but not for long – out again for more food. Three feeds in less than a minute; food good and plentiful and it has just about stopped raining on this wonderful grey day! Hatchlings –Hurrah!!!!
