Is the wind on the inside or the outside of the tent?

lol!!!!

afternoon all we're back in the BBBofIC and our tent is still drying out (rain not beer).
We Eden was............ Okay
We did enjoy ourselves and had a pretty relaxed time but there were lot of little things that spoilt the even for us. The weather was the wet but what can you do apart from put on your wellies and plod through the mud. The campsite was okay lost of room but for some stupid reason the loudest sound system was placed in the middle of the campsite right next to what was call the family section. Drum and base does really do it for us and when all you can hear is the booming sub woofer at 1 in the morning you start to dream of taking a rubber mallet to the sound system. We had heard that the site was spread out over a large area but this year it was all squeezed together this did mean we could get around very easily but there were no quite places and sound bleed from other stages was a constant problem. The range of music was ok but we didn't hear anything that made us go wow (Peatbog Faeries did get everyone dancing about in the rain and the headliner badly drawn boy was on at 15.00 in the afternoon? (we did have to laugh when he got pissed off at having to leave the stage to make way for Mr Motivator). The stalls were ok, the food was good too especially a little Tia stall which we eat from each day and would go down a treat at WOMAD!!!) and the local Galloway ale was very very good. Having said all that the main reason we didn't enjoy the eden as much as we hoped was the levels of drug use. Cannabis was openly smoked all around the site and other forms of "legal highs" and not so legal highs we being consumed and this seemed to be the main focus of the majority of people who were there. This meant there was little or no atmosphere when the bands were on as most people were to stoned to reacted or were more interested on find a dry spot to skin up. We don't care if people want to smoke cannabis but you to wonder why someone would want to smoke a joint in a tent full of children watching a children's film. Also apart from the main stage the sound was poor and at one of the stages we watch band after band have problems with the mikes and monitors the soundman was useless and it spoilt it for everyone. Anyway it made realise just how good WOMAD is and that we won't be going back to the eden festival (unless someone amazing is playing and then we'd only go for the day).
Sorry for the rant but sometime you just have to let one go.
As for the tent the new waterproofing work well however 3 days of rain has probably washed most of it off (the rain was making to much noise on the outside of the tent for us to tell where the wind was coming from).
Right back to the countdown to the wonderful WOMAD!!!!!!

tent has dried out
Gordy and Maggie arrived back this morning and they decided to try and find a territory of there own. They're not sure where to start but are going check out areas in Scotland and Denmark. We asked them when they were going to start looking and they said tomorrow they going to start scouting out area in the highlands. We also asked if there's a kind of estate agents for eagles and they just looked at us and shock their heads.
Anyway 37 days to go and in case you didn't know 37 is the only two digit number in base 10 whose product, when multiplied by two, subtracted by one, and then read backwards, equals the original two digit number: 37×2=74, 74-1=73, 73 backwards is 37.

I've got a carrot that does that.
