Haha S.C.
Hate to do this to you, but:
MRS S.C.!! MY HUSBAND DOES THE WASHING UP!!
I am an old fashioned gal who likes to get up first in the morning and get the kettle on before OH stirs himself!
I don't do it for the rest of the year but Womads special innit!!! The pink/blue boundaries become blurred!!
Anyway, with a non-stick frying pan it's a doddle!

Arh I see Jax, now you put it that way
i see your point

lol Del wishes Cal got up before him to make the porridge
As for doing the dishes that is a shared experience
please note a non stick pan for making porridge is essential

We only do bacon sarnies, but I have to scurry off after the Morning Yoga to get my own bagel being a pain in the ass Veggie that Mummy of NotSoGrumpyPrincess doesn't feed. Lots and lots of Tea tho yum! Also compulsary camping gear is the little radio to listen to Radio Womad in the mornings. I so wish it was a full-time station.

We use an air bed, complete with 3 duvets, 4 pillows and a sheet! We sleep on top of one duvet and under 2 . . . snug as bugs in rugs! All the comforts of home!
In the way of food we take . . . Cereals, porridge, crisps, peanut butter, bread, fruit, biscuits, tea, coffee etc . . . but it's mainly so I have something to feed the kids at the tent if I need to . . . apart from the tea/coffee etc. I like to eat from the stalls . . . it's all part of the experience for me . . . eating food from different countries n discovering new dishes n recipes . . . I usually try to re-create my favourites at home! Keeps the Womad spirit burning!
Breakfast we have always been die hard Tea n' Toast's gourmet veggie bacon roll every morning (if you've never had one, you should definitely make a point of it this year!) . . . but this year I'm deffo gonna try a Manic Organic breakfast! x

Oh, and we also take hard dough bread and peanut butter.......just as a little snack!
I am the same ScrummyMummy, the food stalls are great. I try to have something different every time.....except for the frozen yoghurt and churos which tend to be repeated many times over the four days!!

I try to have something different every time to . . . but its soooooo hard when you have something you LOVE that you've never had before . . . Lamb Bourek for me last year from a North African stall . . . . mmmmmmmmmm . . . .I'm really lucky with food there though . . . I always make delicious choices, but my oh has had some dodgy meals! x

mmmmmm Churos and the Sheeps Milk Ice cream stall, their brown bread flavour last year was divine!

last year Del used his mobile and hands free kit to listen into radio WOMAD while he walked about the campsite doing the things you have too do in the mornings and that way the music never stopped

Camping essentials!
Well since my son and his girlfriend are going camping next weekend with my tent, then I hope to have the most essential thing -a tent for starters!
Skegness at the moment sounds a bit wet and windy, tent might end up in the north sea at this rate.
On keeping warm, love the idea of 3 duvets ScrummyMummy, told son to put a blanket under the sleeping bag and a duvet on top of sleeping bags. Hot water bottle might be a good idea too, my mum used to do that when I was a kiddie.
Essential for me this time....a sack barrow with decent wheels, need to be able to get it on a train. Anyone got suggestions of where to get one?
