  @Shellovski. Thank you. The kids were utterly devastated. We spent every morning scouring the programme over breakfast and then they arranged what times they needed to be at which activity only to be repeatedly disappointed. Clearly some of the 'traders' running the activities had no idea of the rules!! :(

  It's a festival! And a bloody good one! I have always thought that festivals were for people to enjoy themselves in whatever way they want. Sitting, standing, in groups, alone, singing, listening, drinking, abstaining. Whatever you want. 35,000 people just having fun. WOMAD has all of that and more power to it. Constructive feedback? Bring back cabaret.

  Agree with shorts!At least 30,000 people having FUN and I didnt witness any unpleasantness.(some football fans take note?)
  Sound was too loud at times,food did seem more expensive,but hey,it is still delicious and varied.WOMAD is the best and cant wait for 2012.
  Thanks to all-I shall be 71 next year and hope to be coming when I'm 91!!

  In my opinion this was the best WOMAD at Charlton Park yet. I have a bit of experience - been to every festival (inc the Morecambe ones) since 1989. Two suggestions I agree with: (i) Bring back the communal Showers (ii) Move the CG stage.

  My first time at womad this year. Really enjoyed the experience and impressed by the wide ranging programme.

  Agree with the comments about lack of space at the radio 3 stage and sound at some of the other stages.We camped in the pre-erected tent area The Nook. I was unimpressed by this area considering we paid a lot extra: loos were frequently out of paper and soap, queued for 20 mins for a shower, and woken up continually, as others have already mentioned, by lorries and vans on the metalled road yards from our tent - this needs to be sorted for next year. Also could The Nook be separated into two sections like the rest of the site? We don't all want to wake up at 5am when the nearby babies start to cry!

  Overall had a brilliant time and will definately be back.
