  I think I should point out another hitherto unannounced negative aspect of the Cheltenham Festival fashion parade...
  Whilst going about their daily business of raiding the local shop for chewing gum and all things minty (ever trying to improve their image...and smell), the camels have inadvertently stumbled upon pictorial press coverage of said event.
  As a result they have all now developed a morbid fear of Tote bookies and Arthur Daley.

  Ermintrude runs into the Lush Pastures and is greeted by the Gary Larson cartoon cows and Bob the banded Galloway – she’s gong to be fine. Ooo – look – hares!

  Great to hear you had such a good time last night, Cal N Del – excellent!

  If ever proof was needed of parallel universes and the interconnectedness of all things, then it is here on this thread – Alan and the camels are here there and everywhere at the same time and all works brilliantly! Alan is very much looking forward to moving into his new den you have kindly decorated for him, S.C. – very tail waggy in anticipation! Take heed of Cal N Del’s advice – Gordy will be angry if he finds out you’ve been peeking at his little black book, but we won’t as long as you share it with us!

  The camels need not fear, Baz; here, they can join Gordy in the Spa – he’s having a sauna, feather oil and fluff, pedicure, beak buff and wax (?) Maybe the camels would like to try the laying down and relaxing on warm sand or a sit down and chat at the Acacia bar, a minty massage or a snorkel in the pool…….of course they are also simultaneously, at the same time, enjoying being in a boat watching out for orca and admiring eachother’s hump cosies and leggings… .

  Another cheery day of grey – visibility better this morning though, so on with the thermals, grabs, broomstick, leg over, run, run, run, rotate, whoosh!

  Ah - just caught up with the outside world, (awful place) Baz, and see what you mean about the Camels and now understand their horrified reaction to Tote bookies and Arthur Dayley. Please reassure them that their annual gallop round the perimiter of the Charlton Park Womad arena will be pressure free and purely for the fun of it, nobody taking or making bets and no whips (except walnut whips, naturally, yum, yum) or jockeys (pants?) or anything to make them go faster than they want to. Snorkels and custard will be optional, of course
