  Hi everyone

  First time at womad and just wondered what your allowed to take in with you.
  Can i take my own beer and food etc.

  Yes. No glass though. However, between the "Taste the world" stage and the massive selection of different foods on offer we usually take a lot of food home with us. No booze tends to make it out of the field alive however...

  Ok thanks for that. Really looking forward to it. I've just come back from Glastonbury and just want to sit in a field again !!!

  This will also be my daughters first festival (she's 6) so if i can take some nice munchies for her thats cool. She likes all types of food so i would imagin we will be eatign at all those fab places we have heard about.

  About what you'd expect. We tend to take a lot with us to avoid bar prices but nothing overly extortionate (depending on what you're used to, we're practically on London prices where I am) from what I remember. Maybe £3.30 /pint.

  Some jolly good real ale at £3 a pint last year which I thought was ok although I paid a quid for a pint of milk but hey they have to make the pitch worthwhile. We normally only take food for the first day, as keeping it is a prob, but the food experience is part of womad......mmmmmm there was a stall selling smoked salmon omlette for breakfast. Hope there's some porridge too and thali. so excited 20 days and counting

  I'm guessing glass bottles would be off limits?

  Ooh also one thing I've been meaning to ask, being a first timer myself I'm wondering what's the best thing to wear? does it get very muddy?

  I find cream suede suits work well at festivals.
