Wow, wow,wow!

just had a wee listen each of the bands (apart from Mr Plant ensemble as there is nothing out there yet) and the bands which stood out were Grupo Fantasma, Raghu Dixit and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. We're not say the rest are bad just that it's going to BIG PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very pleased and excited by this first announcement. Especially stoked by Robert Plant, who is just such a legend and an excellent man in a fabulous sounding collaboration. He has had tremendous success with both of his last albums, but just keeps moving on, trying new ideas and working with new people, which is so admirable I think. Also excited about the Terem Quartet. I've had a couple of their albums for donkey's years, since seeing them on Jools Holland once. I love the music and they were such engaging performers. I'm so pleased they're still playing. Other potential highlights for me are the Peatbog Faeries, Dizraeli, and Spiro. I'm sure there are other great acts on this list, but I'm not as familiar and am so excited about finding out about them! See you there!!

I never know who anybody is when the line up comes out, having only lost my world music virginity 3 years ago at my first Womad! But now the fun starts for me!! I love this bit, YouTubing and Googling away till my hearts content, deciding who my must see's, wanna see's and not bothered's are!! Generating my list getting more and more excited by the day!!
Then practically crying when the timetable comes out and I have to make some devastating clash decisions! x
One year I really must try it my other half's way . . . he just wonders around and goes where the wind takes him!! (Pocohontas styley!) Lol! I rush about like a mad thing trying to cram in everything and come home exhausted! Lol! I do wanna try and do a few more workshops this year. I went to the Dobet Gnahore one by accident in 2010 and loved it . . . said I'd do some more last year, but my new bambino made that near impossible . . . . . . . . .
JUMPING FOR JOY AND WOMADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
