WOMAD

  Its not that we don't like sport, its just that we don't go to a music festival to watch sport on TV. The Glasto World Cup showing was on the wednesday before the music started, though my daughter tells me there was a separate screen away from the music for the England match on the sunday. The olympics are on at the same time as the music and unless the screens are right the other side of the site, in a separate tent, I can't see how they won't interfere with everything else (think Ollys Bar is a great suggestion!).

  I love the idea of Olly's Bar!!! I thinkit was in the the Malmesbury gazette and herald. I have looked at their websites and can't find the acticle, but she assures me its in the printed paper!!!

  Peter Gabriel & the new blood orchestra and Afro Celts are both touring in May this year.....Rehearsals for Womad perhaps?

  Strange the web report does not mention the Olympics screen.

  So here is a quote from the paper.

  A big screen will be set up for revelers who do not want to miss out on the Olympic track and field events during the festival.

  Maybe they'll follow the pattern of the Olympics and have the screen in a totally different location - like Manchester or the Bristol Channel.
