Joe Strummer excellent choice!

I think the idea of a "super group" finale would generate a great deal of excitement, what songs would they play ?
SC
A pseudo Wailers, love the idea, maybe a guest appearance by Stephen or Ziggy, I was lucky enough to see Ziggy perform in a very small venue a few years back and he was mesmerising, he had many of his fathers qualities.
I would love to see Moussa from Toumast perform with another guitar virtuoso by can't figure out who.....
For me the height of Saturday night would be Peter performing Lay your hands on me with the Berundi's, which I am sure if any of you went to the first Womad will agree it was probably the song that started it all, I have never experienced so much power and spine tingling drama.....
Oumou Sangare and Angelique Kidjo and maybe a few others imagine all that talent on one stage.....

...closest thing to seeing Bob & the Wailers would be Julian Marley as Bob, Andrew Tosh as Pete, Bunny Wailer as himself, Aston Barrett on Bass, The I Threes & the rest of the band going under the name of 'The Original Wailers' & Lee Perry on the desk...would love to see that

DF the "super group" finale could sing a Joe Strummer song, way back in the '80's I saw The Pogues at the Town & Country Club (wonderful old venue sadly missed) and Joe Strummer did a guest appearance (along with a string of others) and played a magical "London Calling" .. maybe the super Group could do a variation on the theme maybe "Womad Calling"?? bit cheesy but I thought I'd throw it in there

just found it on YouTube. What a night that was .........oh to be young again

I saw the Pogues when Joe fronted them after Shane had left. Joe was stunning and their take on London Calling was something else.
The ultimate supergroup. Marley, Chao and Strummer?

DF - found something we can agree on - PG and Burundi's Lay your Hands would be fab!
Still blown away by this from 2007:

PG's Lay your Hands that night was something out of this world too, but I haven't found it on youtube to share - maybe someone else can..

ah.. there we go...

Certainly looked like a great night SS

Ok SBS the supergroup is Marley, Chao and Strummer.
Perhaps the warm up act could be the group Jim Morrison, Jeff Buckley and Hendrix?
