Andrea Casale (September 10th, 1988) is an italian musician and songwriter from Taranto. He grew up listening to his father's favourite artists just like Genesis, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer and the rest of the glorious progressive rock. At the age of 14 Andrea starts increasing his musical tastes until knowing and appreciating all the existing musical styles from world music to Jazz, from post rock (Sigur Ros, Portishead) to the american songwriting At the age of 16, on 2004, he forms with Claudio Ciaccioli his band "Airglow" and started with this line up composing and writing music from 2004 until 2010. Andrea was the keyboard player of the band and the author of all the music and lyrics of the band itself. Airglow, after publishing via internet their EP "Blu Magnetico" achieved a good press success (important sites as "Movimenti Prog" and "Rockit" spent amazing words about them) and a rich live activity in several clubs of their area. Unfortunally the band no longer works with continuity due to the withdrawing of the members of the band who lives at the moment in different parts of Italy to follow the college studies. Andrea moved to Parma on 2007 to apply to faculty of Pharmacy. Here in Parma he meets Burkinabè artist and journalist Cleophas Adrien Dioma and starts collaborating with him on the artistic direction of famous festival "Ottobre Africano" and performs in occasion of several important events in Parma sharing the stage with other people as Awa Ly (French jazz singer), Igiaba Scego (Italian novelist and journalist for Internazionale and L'Unità) and many others... Andrea is working now on his first solo album and he's again author of the whole music you will hear. Casale is helped in this work by his friend and co-arranger Claudio Ciaccioli from Airglow and percussionist Mimmo Gori (who collaborated with Khaled, Richard Sinclair, Demotika Orkestar etc...).
