Charlton Park is located just outside the historic abbey town of Malmesbury in North Wiltshire, and is easily accessible by road and rail.

Charlton Park is situated just off the A429 between Cirencester and Chippenham, close to Malmesbury. The site is 7 miles from Junction 17 off the M4, approximately 100 miles from London, 80 miles from Birmingham, and less than 30 miles away from Bath, Bristol and Swindon. Please follow the yellow AA signs for WOMAD.
From the North: Exit M5 J11a, take first exit A417 towards Cirencester. Before Cirencester take A429 southbound towards Malmesbury. Turn left onto B4040, follow signs into the festival.
From the West: Exit M4 J17, take A429 north towards Cirencester. Turn right onto B4040, follow signs into the festival.
From the East: Exit M4 J17, take A429 northbound signposted Malmesbury. Turn right onto B4040, travel for around half a mile and follow signs into the festival.
From the South: Take A350 northbound towards Chippenham. At the M4 J17 roundabout, take second exit A429 northbound towards Malmesbury. After Malmesbury turn right onto the B4040, travel for around half a mile and follow signs into the festival.
Car-Share Scheme

National Express Coaches
National Express will be running special coach services directly to WOMAD from London Victoria and Bristol coach stations. Connections can be made to and from these main stations from 1000 destinations across the National Express network.
A return ticket from London costs £25 per adult and £12 per child. A return ticket from Bristol costs £18 per adult and £8 per child.

Shuttle Bus Service between Malmesbury Town Centre & WOMAD
There is a shuttle bus service between the festival and Malmesbury town centre, which operates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The timetable is as follows:

The journey will take roughly 10 minutes and will cost £1 each way.
All pick-up and drop-offs at the festival site will be made at the Garden Centre.
All pick-up and drop-offs in Malmesbury will be made at the Malmesbury X Hayes car park, which is close to the library.
Local Buses
Andybus run a number of scheduled services that stop near to the festival. Service 31 runs from Swindon Bus Station to the Milbourne Lane stop, right on the edge of the festival site and costs £2.20 single/£3.65 return. Service 92 runs from Chippenham Rail Station to the Malmesbury X Hayes stop, which is a 15-minute walk (approx)from the festival site and costs £2.10 single/£3.50 return.

Bicycles
Anyone cycling to the festival can leave their bicycle securely in the Campers Lock-Up in the campsite. There is a charge of £1 per item for this service.
Taxis
All drop-offs and pick-ups must be made at the Garden Centre just outside the festival site.
The Information Tent will have details of local taxi firms.
Travel by train is another easy option, with the local stations at Chippenham and Kemble and First Great Western offering a frequent service and value.

GroupSave Fare
Why not let the train take the strain - on the environment and your purse - by travelling to WOMAD using a GroupSave fare? GroupSave allows groups of three or four adults and children to travel off-peak for the price of two on First Great Western services. One adult must be part of the group and up to four additional children can travel for £1 each return.

Which Station?
Customers travelling from the Cheltenham & Gloucester direction, including those from the Midlands and the North, should travel to/from Kemble Station.
Customers travelling from London, the Home Counties, South East England, South West England and Wales should travel to/from Chippenham Station.
