WOMAD at Bristol Zoo. Saturday 11 June 2011. 6-11pm

WOMAD is joining forces with Bristol Zoo to bring you an evening of music from across the world, aptly surrounded by wildlife from across the world.

Firstly, we should say HAPPY 175th BIRTHDAY Bristol Zoo and congratulations for everything you have achieved for the animal kingdom in this time. Saving over 175 species from extinction, establishing over 30 field conservation and research programmes all over the world (to name but a few) really does deserve a handshake.

WOMAD at Bristol Zoo is not simply about giving you a good time (of course there is a brilliant time to be had) all profit made, once those basic bills have been paid, will be donated to Gorilla Conservation projects.

What should you expect at WOMAD at Bristol Zoo?

• Two stages bearing a selection of brilliant musicians from across the globe.
• Workshops for the children will turn your little monkeys into little gorillas once they're finished.
• Much of Bristol Zoo will be open for you to visit the animals who want to stay up late.
• Bristol Zoo's Coral Café will be serving food.
• Bath Ales Bar!
• Bristol Zoo global bazaar will tempt you with their beautiful wares.
• One beautiful evening filled with smells, sights and sounds to give your senses a right good shake up!
