WOMAD

WOMAD returns to Taranaki from 14-16 March 2008 for an exhilarating weekend of rhythms, sights and sounds in the lush surroundings of Brooklands Park & TSB Bowl in New Plymouth. Get ready for a whirlwind trip around the world and discover performances from more than 300 artists!

It?s not just the music that takes you on a magical journey. Captivating workshops for adults and children allow you to explore WOMAD?s diverse mix of artist performances; a stroll through the Global Village offers fantastic fare and great shopping; you can re-energise with tempting tastes from other lands or spend time in the Kidzone with the family. Most of all relax, unwind and soak up the family-friendly, relaxed vibe that is unique to WOMAD in Taranaki.

Workshops
Discover yourself! Take part in a workshop with many of the weekend's performers, explore your vocal range, dance to a different beat, be creative through visual art, or meet and be inspired by an artist.

Global Village
The Global Village is your chance to shop around the world. At the heart of the festival the Global Village is made up of more than 80 stalls trading a vast range of international food, beverages, arts and crafts.

Kidzone
WOMAD is a family-friendly festival and your kids will love our full programme of activities for lively young minds aged 5 to 12, all held within the wondrous surrounds of Brooklands Zoo.
