Yone & Timpleband & Javier Infante

Yone has started a music project which reflects his new interests, founded by his recent studys. His music is a combination of the original, written by himself, and other themes which he includes in the latin-jazz repertoire and ethnic music performed by himself and the band.

When he was 7 years old he started playing the Timple, a traditional Spanish string plucked instrument, with Rafael García. Later on, he started to study music theory, guitar and piano at the Music School in Galdar. When he was 9 years old he started studying the Timple and a music degree under the guidance of José Antonio Ramos who introduced him to the world of jazz, improvistaion, composition and harmony. Besides Timple, he has studied sol-fa, piano, classic guitar and modern harmony and the improvisation of music schools in Galdar and Guia in Gran Canaria.

At the age of 12 he launched his first work "The Other Shore" and partipated in many shows, at festive feast, cultural and social events: Agaete, La Laguna (Tenerife), Galdar, Teror, Valleseco, Mogan, Tejeda, Moya, etc., in Parranda of the Press Club, Folk Music Festival of La Guancha (Galdar), WOMAD 2000 with José Antonio Ramos or the Timple Contest in Breña Alta (La Palma).
