Wire Daisies

The Wire Daisies are the latest phenomenon from an extraordinarily rich vein of talent to be found in the South West of England. Individually they have played with some of the best known artists around ranging from Miss Dynamite to Queen. Together they combine the love of old-school singer-songwriting with the energy of today’s British rock. The band – Treana Morris (lead vocals), Ol Beach (keyboards), Steve Jackson (drums) and Alden Evans (lead guitar) - formed in 1999 and by the summer of 2002 they had written and recorded enough material for 3 albums. Something had to happen, so the band approached producer John Cornfield who has produced for the likes of Oasis, Supergrass and Muse to record just a couple of tracks as demos. The session went so well that the Wire Daisies ended up recording their entire debut album. The momentum continued when, on 29th November 2003, Treana performed to a huge worldwide audience when she sang at the Nelson Mandela 46664 AIDS Concert in South Africa. 2004 has continued in earnest with the Wire Daisies signing a major publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing and an exclusive deal with a new UK digital label, Transistor Project. The Wire Daisies are currently playing regular, local gigs before they embark on a nationwide tour in May.
