Tapping the rhythms and roots of the world, local percussionists Mohammed Noor, Reggie Perera and Edmond Branson Jr combine their talents to form the band Tribal Tide.With a combined experience of 15 years, Tribal Tide draws its inspiration from the world around them. Their music is eclectic and transcends political boundaries, blending the musical roots of Latin and Indian percussion, African and Irish drums, Australian didgeridoo, Afro-Cuban congas and timbalis into an addictive fusion of pulsating rhythms and indigenous vocalising.Tribal Tide will be doing a unique collaboration at WOMAD Singapore with Shikisha, presenting an entirely new musical exchange of cultures.
