The Monos

From Canary Islands

'The Monos' is a band from the south east of Gran Canaria. Their songs are characterised by the unique fusion of styles brought into the frame by each of the musicians within the band. From rock, to reggae, from ska to funk and rap, they cover so many different musical genres. The Monos are also special for the fact that they incorporate the traditional folk instrument, the timple, from the Canary Islands within their music.
