The Great Kovari

From Hungary

2001 biographyThanks to sexy David Blaine, magic, illusionism and escapology are all back in fashion. The Great Kovari is a veteran of all the conjuring arts, which he in turn learned from the great Rodolfo back in his native Hungary. The Budapest uprising in 1956 forced Kovari to relocate to London where he soon established himself as a leading trickster on the magical circuit. As well as numerous appearances on radio and TV, including a spot on ‘An Audience with Freddy Star’, the Great Kovari has toured the length and breath of the UK and Canada and worked as an advisor on films like ‘The Thief of Baghdad’ and ‘The Cherry Orchard’. His specialty is making volunteers from the audience disappear in a puff of smoke…..so much cleaner and more PC than hiring a hitman. Biography by Andy Morgan, June 2001Short biographyMaster illusionist who learnt magic from Rodolfo. This is real magic and defies understanding... And if you're not up for volunteering, just don't sit at the front!May 2001
