Phil Muil, Emma Westlake and Alan Baker will once again be holding the WOMAD Tai chi workshops from the Red Stage Saturday and Sunday mornings 9.30 - 11.00 a.m.
These experienced teachers have been running workshops for WOMAD for the last 15 years.
Phil and Emma run the Oxford School of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung (www.oxfordtaichi.co.uk) and Alan is chief instructor for the Three Treasures School of Taijiquan (www.threetreasurestaiji.co.uk) based in South Oxfordshire. Both Schools are affilliated to The Chinese Internal Arts Association and are of Chen Style lineage having studied for many years under Karel and Eva KosKuba, indoor students of Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang.
Tai chi (taiji) is meditation in movement, an ancient oriental system which harmonises and integrates one's energy promoting vitality, grace and composure.
Come to these workshops to wake up your energy and set yourself up for the day/(set yourself up for a fantastic day!)
There is a dvd available at the WOMAD shop covering exercises/ material from the workshop.
