Styl'O'Styl

Styl'O'Styl is an association created in 2004 by a Hip Hop dancer and a Jazz musician who wished to gather these two disciplines which the origins are linked together. From there, a 10 Jazz musicians and 9 Hip Hop dancers project was built up in Crolles (France-Isère). Due to this ?rst step, the ?rst creation of Styl'O'Styl is born: "Entrez en Fusion". It was a one week intensive work which the main interest was to develop what will make the Styl'O'Styl work so particular. The pleasure to share through improvisation and the special connection made with the public are the frame of the organization activity. This work is now spread in theatres, festivals and concerts in various forms.

Willing to give the theatre public an experience to share, more than a show to see, the Styl'O'Styl team gives Redouane Gadami, choreographer, the responsibility to make it through the culmination of the artistic project "à Contre-sens". Today Styl'O'Styl cie proposes two forms of the piece "à Contre-sens". This creation is questioning, through the musician/dancer connection, the ownership of the body and tries hard to reveal some individual and common life possibilities. A research work which underlines what binds members of the association together: the collective action strength.
