Latin percussionist, recording artist and band leader, SNOWBOY, has also been a D.J. since the classic Jazz Funk days of 1978 where he used to hire out the U.K.'s No 1 Black Music night club, THE GOLDMINE (made famous by the legendary Chris Hill), at the age of 17 to put on special Jazz Funk nights. It was his knowledge of Jazz, Latin, Funk and Soul records that inspired him to take up percussion.

As a D.J., he has played all over the world: Australia, Greece, U.S.A., Singapore, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Japan, Hong Kong, Sweden, Denmark, Bangkok, Norway, the U.K., Canada and Spain, among other countries.

Snowboy is considered an authority on the JAZZ DANCE scene and has written a book on the U.K. Jazz Dance scene - 1970 to 1993 - and is also a FUNK specialist. Along with KEB DARGE he was one of the original D,J.'s at DEEP FUNK, spawning a scene under that clubs name and was a columnist and writer for the world-respected Funk and Hip Hop magazine GRAND SLAM.

Not to be pigeon-holed, although known for Jazz Dance, Latin, Funk, he also specializes in Soul ­ from 60's Crossover to Y2K Nu Soul and Broken Beat.
As a collector, his 30,000 piece record collection also covers a comprehensive Jazz-Funk, Disco/Boogie, Nu Jazz, Old School Rap collection amongst many other styles and he constantly delves into his archives.

Although he guests at many clubs world-wide, he is very proud of his residencies: Messin' Around at The Jazz Café and the world-famous session The Hi Hat [ also at The Jazz Café ], which is considered the world's number one REAL Jazz Dance night, which attracts dancers from all over the country. He also has a residency in Bristol at 'Dojo' and still plays regularly at 'Deep Funk' at Madame Jo Jo's. Snowboy has two Hi Hat compilations already released for Ocho Records and one of Washington Go-Go Funk, called 'Meet Me At The Go-Go'. In 2006, he has another Hi Hat compilation, a Deep Funk one, two Broken Beat ones and many 'Fania' related Salsa and Latin Jazz compilations as well !!

Snowboy is also a part of the D.J. team for ALEX LOWE'S legendary twice-yearly SOUTHPORT DANCE WEEKENDER, which is possibly the most important dance music event of its kind in the world and the important yearly SOUL VILLAGE WEEKENDER in Great Yarmouth.
