Seneghazim comprises three highly talented individuals, Chartwell Dutrio, Seckou Keita and Ben Baddoo.Chartwell Dutiro (ZIMBABWE)Leading his group Spirit Talk Mbira, Chartwell Dutiro began playing the mbira (an instrument used to call the spirits) when he was four. Having toured with Zimbabwean celebrity Thomas Mapfumo and the Blacks Unlimited for 8 years, Chartwell’s music is well known for being hypnotic, with the softly propulsive mbira polyrhythms absolutely mesmerizing. Seckou Keita (SENEGAL)A descendant of the Keita family of Kings from Mali, Seckou Keita is not only a talented Kora player he is a gifted composer with musical influence from the green Casamance region of Senegal. Expect dynamic and inspirational sounds from the deep roots of traditional African music. Ben Baddoo (GHANA)Besides being an ace percussionist, Ben Baddoo is an expert drum maker. This artist possesses a musical diversity and expertise that is truly awe-inspiring. Passionate in sharing this knowledge, Ben will introduce a wide range of traditional drums as well as his marimba and a selection of hand percussion.Together, the African Trio will dazzle with a spellbinding performance with the Sri Warisan Som Said Performing Arts. It is Africa meeting Asia in the most true and raw form!
