As chief of staff for Al Gore, Roy Neel oversees Gore's climate change advocacy programs, and his clean energy business interests

He assisted with final development of Gore's Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, and in 2006 helped found The Climate Project, an international program that has trained 4000 climate crisis messengers - who have made 50,000 presentations to more than 5 million people. As Gore's senior White House policy advisor, Neel led major legislative initiatives involving energy and climate change, telecommunications and transportation. Neel recently advised the Australian Conservation Foundation for its carbon pricing legislation campaign. A former CEO with US Telecom Association and corporate director of Amtrak before his foray into politics, Neel is also an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Vanderbilt University, Tennessee.
