Robyn Williams

As one of Australia's most informed and beloved broadcasters, Robyn Williams has helped bring matters of science into the broader social conversation - and highlighted issues of importance though his ABC Radio National programs.

Born in England, he was educated in Vienna and England (during which time he also appeared in comedy TV programs, from Monty Python's Flying Circus to The Goodies) though his true talent emerged as a science journalist. He has presented The Science Show on radio since 1975 and appeared in such TV programs as Nature of Australia, World Safari with David Attenborough and CATALYST. His latest book - Unintelligent Design: Why God Isn't As Smart As SHE Thinks She Is - is yet another demonstration of his articulate, thoughtful and witty manner.
