Pumuky

From Chile, Spain

Pumuky is made up of Jaír Ramírez (1980-Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife), Noé, David Jiménez, Tomás García, Vicente Rosati, and two Chilean musicians living in Barcelona, Nacho Yoldi and Edu Martínez.
Jaír began his musical career in 2002 with a group called "Alex Kid en el país de las tormentas", (Alex kid in stormland) and success followed with radio programs on the Spanish Radio station RNE3 and excellent media reviews.
The following year Jaír transformed this previous project into Pumuky, but still in keeping with the original themes: acoustic and melancholic sounds with a hint of romanticism. Pumuky's demo was chosen as Best Demo of the year in 2003 on RNE 3's program, `Disco Grande'.
Towards the end of 2008, Pumuky travelled deep into a forest in Galicia where they recorded their new album: "El bosque en llamas" (The burning forest), with Jabalina Records. This has become one of the most outstanding albums of the year.
