Minuit frontwoman Ruth Carr modestly considers the band's greatest achievement "staying together" but this belies a decade of wrapping pulsing broken beats around Carr's raw vocals to forge a unique, driven, electro-rock sound.

Originally from Nelson, Minuit is centred around Carr, Ryan Beehre and Paul Dodge. Minuit has five EPs to its name; including The Guns, which sold out in the first week, and won Best Electronic Release at the 2005 b-net awards. Minuit has released two albums, with a third in production, and toured internationally to acclaim.

At WOMAD Minuit will perform an exciting new collaboration with percussionist outfie Gamelan Taniwha Jaya.
