From Spain
Kiko Veneno was born in Figueres (Girona) on April 3rd 1952, but his musical history was born in Sevilla, where he moved with his family when he was 9 years old.
Nobody has mixed the southern sounds with flamenco and pop like Kiko. He has created a personal language within his music, which, although has been copied a thousand times, the magic that Kiko creates is rarely captured by others. The lengendary album called Veneno, featuring Kiko with Raimundo and Rafael Amador, was one of the most revolutionary records ever recorded in Spain; But as a solo artist, it has been a bittersweet road for Kiko.
In 2001, Kiko parted ways with the music industry, opening new paths for his career. He started his own record label, where he released an album with Pepe Begines (Gira Mundial), and Pepe's first solo record (Mi Propia Película). After four years of silence from Kiko, El Hombre Invisible (2005) is published, a record which is loaded with a sense of liberty, energy and optimism.
In 2010 he worked on Dice la gente, a record mixed in Comualles (UK) with his friend Joe Dworniak. The album was released on September 7th 2010. Kiko is now signed to Warner Music.
