Kangaroo Moon play funky Celtic, oriental, digeridoo, rhythmic, ambient dance music. At least, that's where they start off. Once they're into a groove, the musicians springboard off it and fly, somersaulting, into free jam space, before hopping back in, neat as a joey in a 'roo. They are stalwarts of the free festival circuit, where their amiable, shambolic approach to just getting down and playing music is most at home. Their happy-go-lucky approach is refreshing in a world of desperate wannabees and slick marketing, and is the perfect accompaniment to summer days dancing in the tented cafés and green fields of Festieland.
