Jess Chambers is known for her collaborations with some of New Zealand’s top acts and has gained acclaim both in New Zealand and internationally as a unique singer/songwriter with a sublime voice.In April this year, Jess recorded a solo album of new songs with producer and virtuoso guitarist Justin Firefly Clarke, called “Brighter”. The predominantly acoustic album features delicate strings, lush guitar and layered backing vocals sung by some of Wellington’s finest including Samuel Flynn Scott from The Phoenix Foundation and Rio Hemopo from Trinity Roots.Pre-2007 Jess’ vocals and songs have been remixed by Minuit, Antix, Rhombus, hiphop producer Raze from Philadelphia, Benny Tones and Swedish trancers the Phoney Orphants. Her voice can also be heard on the “Love Parade compilation 2006", released world wide and said to be one of the highest selling dance compilations to date worldwide.At WOMAD 2008 the talented Jess Chambers will be joined by The Firefly Orchestra, featuring Justin Firefly, Age Pryor and friends.
