The Jah Works label was set up by reggae obsessive Rej Forte in the depths of the Berkshire countryside almost two decades ago. The label has gained a reputation for producing consistently high quality UK reggae, dub and ragga by the likes of Martin Campbell, vocalist Donette Forte and GT Moore aka The Outsider. For WOMAD 2001, Jah Works has assembled a cracking backing band of musicians who have had previous experience in groups like Pressure, Radical Dance Faction, Roots Dynamics and Dub Warriors. Fronting the showcase will be a posse of talented local singers including G.T.Moore, Albaroot, I-Natural and Ital Malik. This is the best in local produce… fresh, funky and vital!
