Hakeem Onibudo is a dancer, choreographer and founder member of ‘Impact Dance’. He began his career by creating a series of popular Xpress Yo’self street dance classes and then went on to develop his concept into a highly creative platform for all forms of street influenced dance. He performs and teaches and Impact Dance fosters a development ethos, which focuses on personal responsibility and achievement as well as encouraging self-development and self- discipline. In the last nine years the group has gone from strength to strength choreographing shows throughout the country including collaborations with Central Connexions, Sadlers Wells, BBC, and Nickelodeon. In 2004 their performances at “Breakin’ Convention’ at Sadlers Wells put them in an international line up with the likes of Rennie Harris, Zoo Nation, Jonzi D and Electric Boogaloos. Hakeem’s belief is “If you can conceive it, you can achieve it” and his goal is to inspire others and help them to succeed.
