Unlike many didgeridoo purists, Graham Wiggins (aka Dr Didg) uses an array of samplers and effects to set up loops and patterns of didg rhythm, both in his live performances and on record. Were it not for the fact that this frees him up to add the delightfully plaintive wail of melodica and a variety of percussion, as well as more and more intertwining layers of didg, one could imagine that the more Luddite critics would give him a hard time. As it is, the chances are they will all be so caught up in the shifting mirage of sound that they won't notice.
