From Senegal
Born in 1995 in Dakar (Senegal), Da Brains is today one of the african hip hop scene and has grown internationally.
From his first album onwards Da Brains has known how to attract and work with the best Senegalese songwriters. In 1998, Doudou Ndiaye Rose (drum major, Senegal) and Positive Black Soul (first african hip hop band , Senegal) take part in the first album. In 2000, Thione Ballago Seck (leader mbalax, Senegal), 'Chorale des Martyres de l'Ouganda' (Senegal) and Sibou Ndour (composer, Senegal) take part in the second album. In 2003, Fallou Dieng (leader mbalax, Senegal), Oxmo Puccino, Disiz la Peste and Flag (rappers, France), Keisha (R'n'B, France), Bost & Bim Rythmes (composer, France) and Komplex (composer, France) take part in the third album.
Since his first song Da Brains dares to do fusions and provoke musical encounters. In 2002, Da Brains composed with Yakar ; a Parisian band from the Jazz-Funk scene. In 2005, Da Brains gets closer to the european electro scene and works on a project involving Break, 2step and techno with Loan (2B delighted rec). 2006, he releases his fourth album 'MISSION' which features Nix (MC, Senegal), Atheena (R'n'B, France) in composition with Loan and Monsieur Greg (France) but also with Awadi and Bug's (Senegal).
