Classically trained pianist and pub landlord Peter Brooke met ex-actor and music fanatic Roger Winslet at Roger’s daughter’s wedding and soon cemented a solid working relationship, which lead to the birth of Bidgie Reef & The Gas. Their music mixes the freedom of jazz, the diversity of global sounds, the romanticism of classicism, the power of pop, the energy and ethos of punk, the escapism of cinema and the urgency of the beat generation. Phew! Some of their demos have already been noticed in high places and their music was under consideration by the producers of Michael Caine’s new film ‘Shiner’ and Guy Ritchie’s latest ‘Snatch’. Expect the unexpected and you won’t be disappointed!
